From the moment you step inside, the ambiance radiates a welcoming, cozy vibe enhanced by captivating music and a beautifully decorated interior, including an eye-catching ceiling that adds a unique charm to your dining experience. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, the atmosphere here effortlessly blends comfort with subtle elegance.

The menu at Heart of Jerusalem Cafe boasts an impressive array of dishes designed to delight your senses. Start with the Falafels Appetizer—crispy fried chickpeas seasoned with fragrant HOJ spices served alongside creamy hummus, creating a harmony of textures and rich, earthy flavors. The Hummus Dip, blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic, paired with grilled za’atar pita and falafels, offers a luscious, velvety start to your meal.

For mains, diners frequently sing praises for the Heart of Jerusalem sandwich, a standout favorite packed with layers of fresh ingredients that showcase the kitchen’s dedication to bold, authentic tastes. The Manakeesh and Kabob sampler is another superb choice, offering a generous portion brimming with vibrant spices and tender, juicy meats.

One cannot visit without sampling the exquisite Turkish Coffee. Made from fine Arabica coffee lightly dusted with cardamom, this brew delivers an intensely aromatic and “chewable” experience, as Dan Rose vividly described. Pair it with a sweet finish—such as the delicate Baklava layered with phyllo dough, walnuts, cinnamon, and topped with pistachio—to elevate your meal into a truly memorable feast.

Beyond the exquisite food, Heart of Jerusalem Cafe is notable for its friendly, attentive service. Customers like Ivan have appreciated the joyful energy and genuine care of the staff, particularly noting waitresses like Aidyn who ensure every visit feels special and well-attended.

The best middle eastern food I’ve ever had! Everything was bursting with flavor. My wife and I split the Manakeesh and Kabob sampler and still had leftovers. And if you like strong “chewable” coffee, the Turkish coffee was excellent, and the cardamom gives it such a great flavor. We got there right around 5 and there was plenty of seating, but it was filling up fast by the time we left, so get there early.

I think this place was cool. I really like the mood with the music and especially the ceiling. I ordered the “Heart of Jerusalem sandwich” and it was an easy 5 stars. Out of all of the restaurants I’ve ever been to, this one is probably in my top 10, that’s also saying a lot because I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. Everyone there were really nice and the restaurant owner was even sitting outside. I really think that whoever is reading this should really try this restaurant.

Great restaurant. Delicious food! This time I got the Greek Chicken Salad. It came with deliciously spiced chicken and lamb gyro meat on top, and so much lettuce, feta, and olives I had enough for 2 meals! Also, the Sage tea is the best thing in the world, hot or cold!

Love this place, their servings are big and the falafel is served in the shape of a heart and is so tasty. Cute lil ceremonial-vibey tea. Baba ganouseh was fire! Service was kind & the food came out very fast. Im not used to tabouleh having “dressing”, just Lemon & olive oil, so the only thing I’d change next time is to order it on the side, but that’s it! We will be back, TY

The food is truly exceptional. Each dish is an explosion of beautifully balanced flavors — absolutely exquisite. We’re visiting Colorado from Florida, and without a doubt, this has been one of the finest dining experiences we’ve had.

So this is my TEN star review. I left a 5 for them last week when I first tried this restaurant. This week I tried the Heart of Jerusalem gyro plate and the dolmas!!! The complexity of flavors has not failed to amaze either time I’ve been here now. I have some ongoing business up in the Springs for the next few Wednesdays, and plan to keep coming here on each of those trips, plus many more times in the future. The drive up from Pueblo is ABSOLUTELY worth it. The staff is so friendly and the food is fresh and delicious! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Colorado Springs!

So I’ve been told about Heart of Jerusalem, and THIS location specifically, by a good friend of mine. They absolutely did not disappoint!!! The portions are phenomenal! The service and staff is very amiable! And the food…let’s talk about those FLAVORS!! Oh my….will DEFINITELY be frequenting this spot any time I’m up here from Pueblo in the future. I had the Ultimate Plate today. I have some business in Springs again one week from today, and will be coming back to try the gyros!! Would give them well beyond five stars if I could!!
